WhatsApp is one of the largest message shipping platforms in the world. While chat with a personal account remains encrypted end to end, the backup feature of data stores copies of user data in the cloud, depending on which operating system is used, in many cases, WhatsApp for iOS stores data on Apple digital storage services. Called iCloud and WhatsApp for backup Android stores on Google Drive. However, reserves on iOS and Android are not encrypted, which is a recent concern of users. The latest beta WhatsApp for android updates has features

Previously, the WHATSAPP development monitor called WabetInfo reported that encrypted reserves were being developed by a messaging platform. On July 16, Wabetainfo has published reports saying that WhatsApp has sent new updates through the Google Play Beta program. This is the latest beta update that comes with end-end-to-end reserves. When activated, users must choose a password that will be used to encrypt the backup in the future. Users will also require the same password while restoring the backup on the new or the same device. According to the report, this password was not shared with third-party services, including WhatsApp, Facebook, Apple, or Google.

Users need to set the password to use encrypted cloud reserves

The end-to-end backup will also support the encryption key. WhatsApp will produce keys according to user requirements and can be used instead of passwords to restore chat reserves. However, a warning message on the screenshot of the feature shared by Wabetainfo said that "You will not be able to restore the chat from this encrypted backup without this key. If you lose this key, WhatsApp will not be able to recover it." At present, features are being launched for the Beta test group, and may soon be available to everyone. In a related development, WhatsApp recently saw the most awaited multi-device login testing without the need for a companion phone.
