For a long time, it can be seen that WHATSAPP users lose their access to the account after sharing the six-digit verification code received on WHATSAPP with someone who claimed to be from the company.
The company is reported to work on features that will work to handle such fraud. According to a report in WABeta, WHATSAPP is working on a new feature which is FLASH CALL. This will allow users to automatically verify their telephone numbers when they will try to get into WHATSAPP.
This FLASH CALL will require user's permission to access their phone call log, after that, it will automatically verify whether they receive a call, and, finally, it will provide access to their WhatsApp account.
This special feature is visible on Android version 2.21.11.7 from the application. As you can see, flash calls will be an optional feature. That means it's up to the user's decision that they want to provide WhatsApp access to their call logs for flash calls or not.
